A career in our Risk Solutions practice within Risk Assurance will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. You’ll focus on finding value and enabling sustainable information performance by using data, tools, analytics, complex modeling, data visualization, simulation, economics, optimisation, information management, business intelligence, and industry expertise.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As an Enterprise Systems Risk Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading client conversations on matters of risk management, control considerations, and leading practices on establishing trust in client data and technologies. 

  • Collaborating as a team leader and demonstrating relationship effectiveness, including the ability to establish and develop long-term relationships with both internal account teams, and external client stakeholders and leaders. 

  • Identifying opportunities to optimize client processes, and working collaboratively with internal groups within PwC to deliver a comprehensive solution

  • Lead and or participate in the strategic growth of the Digital Risk Solutions practice in the National Capital Region, and across the Canadian public sector more broadly. 

  • Understand the structure, key issues, language, and environment of Government and Public Sector with an ability to discuss and explain current and emerging issues within one or more industry sectors, including services and technology applicable to those needs and effectively engage with executive level clients and with risk-focused PwC resources.

  • Balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks associated with both internal initiatives to promote collaboration, and external delivery of ongoing engagements. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert to engagements and team members for your field of expertise.

  • Coach and collaborate with peers who assist with this work, including providing coaching, feedback and guidance on work performance.

  • Manage and grow a collection of new and existing client relationships.

  • Continuing to advance your skills and knowledge through engagement in self-training, or enrolled attendance in subsidized training programs.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

A successful candidate will have approximately 5 years of experience, and able to demonstrate strong expertise and experience in the following areas:  

  • Risk and controls knowledge associated with one or many large technology solutions (e.g. SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle Cloud, Workday Financials/HCM, Salesforce), specifically focused on the governance, security and controls aspects of the implementation.

  • Risk identification and control integration as part of an end-to-end technology transformations, specifically focused on IT and business process controls audit/review in context of a technology implementation;

  • Experience working with a GRC solution, and supporting clients with aligning the technology to a compliance mandate. 

  • Understanding clients' business, industry and / or technologies and leveraging project management skills in relation to projects, including developing project plans, budgets, and deliverables schedules, as well as defining resource requirements, project workflows, budgets, and billing and collection;

  • Working directly with systems integrators in developing business requirements and business controls in technology transformation programs; 

  • Performing as a team leader by creating a positive environment, monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations, and respecting the work-life quality of team members including providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner.
